Apple iPhone SE Review

Modern smartphones are mostly about size, reason why for the last couple of years our phones have become bigger and bigger. Smartphones have slowly but surely started to resemble the tablets on which people used to email and calendar appointments. If you judge by screen size, the iPhone 6S is actually the smallest smartphone on the market. Apple is going against the trend, releasing mainly 4-inch phones. Even though the smartphones that the manufacturer sells are small, they are not weak. The iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6 Plus are the most powerful ones that you can buy from Apple. However, all that changes with the release of the brand-new iPhone. Although on the outside this device looks and feel identical to the iPhone 5S, it is not the same and it is decidedly the best iPhone yet.

The iPhone SE is the spitting image of the iPhone 5S

In terms of appearance, the iPhone SE looks just like the iPhone 5S. If you were to place the two phones side by side, you would not be able to tell the difference. The only physical difference that is visible is the pink color of the iPhone SE. In addition to the rose gold, as Apple names it, the smartphone is available in space grey, silver and gold. The iPhone SE has the exact same aluminum body as the iPhone 5S, the same four-inch Retina display and the same placement of round volume buttons. The diagonal edges represent a departure from the round edges of the iPhone 6 and at the same time a return to the earlier designs. From an aesthetic point of view, the only noticeable differences between the iPhone 5S and the iPhone SE are the colors, the matte lodges and the fact that the Apple logo on the back of the phone is color-matched stainless steel.

Holding the iPhone SE in your hands

It is necessary to start by saying that with the iPhone SE you will learn how to use a smaller phone differently. To be more precise, the chances that you will drop the phone are minimal and your fingers will not hurt from balancing the phone on them. The smartphone weighs only four ounces, but if feels highly durable. Its sturdiness is largely due to the hard edges and the fact that it is thicker than the iPhone 6S. Using a 4-inch phone requires both hands and your undivided attention, so you are more likely to do the thing that you need and putting the phone away. However, there are some drawback to owning a small phone. Typing takes most of your screen and a small phone involves a lot of scrolling.

A completely new machine

Inside the body of the iPhone SE you will discover a new machine. The A9 processor is extremely fast, not to mention that it is well-suited to games and Airplay. The 12-megapixel camera allows you to take incredible photos even when the light is not good. The speed with which the small phone functions is impressive. The small phone does not mean compromise.  The iPhone has two gigabytes of RAM and it supports modern WiFi standards. What is more, the smartphone has the latest version of iOS, namely 9.3. Almost everything that the iPhone 6S does, the SE does just as well, even better since it can last way beyond the full work day.
